Project: HERO9 Black Launch Video

Overview: The official launch film for GoPro’s flagship HERO9 Black—an energetic, feature-packed global campaign piece highlighting the camera’s upgraded image quality, new front screen, 5K resolution, and rugged durability. The video blended UGC, athlete content, and in-house production into one cohesive story that kicked off the HERO9 era.

Role: Post Producer

• Oversaw 10+TB of footage from diverse sources including in-house shoots, UGC, and global athlete content
• Built and managed a remote post team of editors, motion designers, and CG artists
• Worked cross-functionally with localization teams to deliver content in 13 languages
• Led versioning and cutdown efforts for global marketing, retail, social, and web
• Owned QC and delivery of all final deliverables across formats and platforms

Results:

• 4M+ views on YouTube
• The launch campaign helped drive a surge in direct-to-consumer sales and subscriptions
• Coincided with GoPro’s stock peaking in early 2021—marking a strong comeback moment for the brand
